1. What do you help with?
I help clients simplify their homes through decluttering first and organizing second. We begin by removing what no longer serves your life, then create simple systems that fit the way you actually live.
Unlike traditional organizing, the focus is on reducing the mental and physical burden of excess stuff so your home feels calmer, easier to maintain, and more supportive of your current season of life.
2. How involved am I in the process?
You are always in control of every decision. My job is to guide, support, sort, gather, haul, and organize so you don't become overwhelmed.
You decide what stays and what goes. Nothing is donated, recycled, or discarded without your approval.
3. What happens to unwanted items?
I help identify items that can be donated, recycled, or discarded and will help load donations into your vehicle at the end of the session. You choose where to donate them, though I typically recommend donation centers that accept large quantities.
I do not sell items for clients, as selling often creates delays and additional stress.
4. What should I expect during my first session?
Most sessions last 3-4 hours, which is typically the ideal amount of time for decision-making before fatigue sets in.
Before we begin, simply have trash bags available, review the client agreement, and follow any instructions provided during your consultation. There's no need to clean or organize beforehand.
5. What happens during the Calm Consultation?
Your complimentary consultation is a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we'll discuss your goals, tour your space, and determine whether we're a good fit. It typically takes about 30 minutes and helps create a clear plan for moving forward.
6. Do I need to buy organizing products?
Usually not. We first declutter and then repurpose containers you already own whenever possible.
If additional products would be helpful, I'll recommend specific solutions after we've determined what actually needs to be stored.
7. Will my space stay organized?
The goal isn't a temporary makeover. Together we'll create simple, sustainable systems that fit your lifestyle and are easy to maintain over time.
8. Do you provide dumpsters?
I don't provide dumpsters directly, but I can help determine whether one is needed and recommend the appropriate size.
